Usman co-founded Odexa Capital and his primary focus is on business service, energy, industrial, technology, manufacturing and consumer industries. His clients include private equity funds, public and private companies and family-owned businesses. Usman’s investment banking practice is focused on mergers & acquisitions, private debt and equity advisory and raise services.
He has over 5 years of experience in an investment banking advisory role, both sell-side and buy-side, and over 6 years of corporate finance experience, including Fortune 500 companies, with a specialization in asset valuation, quantitative and financial analysis and capital markets. He has experience negotiating and closing small and large deals and employs a win/win negotiating style that benefits both parties. In addition to extensive sales and negotiation experience, he also has experience in private wealth management and portfolio analysis.
Usman graduated with a distinction from the University of Calgary with a degree in Finance and Applied Mathematics. Usman is also a CFA Charterholder.
Haris is one of the founding members of Odexa Capital and has over 5 years of experience in international deal making. His past experience includes working at an investment bank where he focused on frontier market assets and then moved to a tier 1 Canadian financial institution working on the mergers and acquisition desk in Toronto.
His experience in corporate finance ranges from advising on buy side and sell side transactions spanning various industries including, but not limited to, energy, telecom and construction. In addition to his extensive deal making experience, Haris has also worked as a financial planning analyst where he focused on strategic initiatives including capital allocation decisions specializing in developing forecasts and stress testing line of business (LOB) budgets.
Haris graduated top of his class from University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce and is currently pursuing the CFA designation.
